The Reawakening of the Jordan River...
Envision Utah and the Center for Documentary Arts invite you...

Did you know that the Jordan River essentially separated the early
settlement in the eastern part of our valley from the wild and wooly west?

A journal entry from explorer Jedediah Smith noted that crossing the river  (Jordan) presented difficulty and that he was "very much strangled" in his  attempt (June, 1827). One hundred and eighty-two years later, the Jordan  River unites 15 thriving east/west municipalities in three counties, and  provides a canvas for a future urban oasis, with restored wetlands, migratory habitat, recreational amenities and a draw for economic sustainability.

Please join us to celebrate the Jordan River's potential. Envision Utah and  the Center for Documentary Arts invite you to explore the river's past, present and future.

Sincerely,

Leslie Kelen, Executive Director
